Autonomous Vehicle Drives Coast to Coast

Delphi Automotive has made history with their specially fitted out Audi SQ5. They have created the first autonomous vehicle to successfully drive across North America – coast to coast – From San Fransisco to New York City. Traveling nearly 3,400 miles, across 15 states, over nine days, with 99 percent of the drive in fully automated mode. Mercedes-Benz to Enter Pickup Market

Mercedes-Benz announced today their intention to enter the mid-size (one-tonne) pickup market. “We see opportunities to enter this market as the first premium brand,”  Volker Mornhinweg, head of Mercedes-Benz Vans said, but failed to go into much more detail about the truck. They are planning to launch their “rough luxury” utility in multiple countries across Europe and South America, as well as South Africa and Australia. Curiously, Mornhinweg has so far been coy on details of a US launch.
